It’s quite an honor to announce that our powerful scoring work for the Wolfenstein: The New Order announcement trailer has been awarded the top prize (GOLD) for music in a game trailer by the Hollywood Reporter Key Art Awards. We’re gonna go for a joyride with Hans in his VW and cruise around Berlin with our statue.
Coming on the heels of news that Iggy Pop just selected one of our Neumond Recordings song for a curated radio show about German music, the award caps off a thoroughly rewarding role in making the entire Wolfenstein experience a unique and musically immersive experience that has garnered more fans, press and awards than we could have imagined.
ICYMI, here’s the trailer, below the jump.

As Wolfenstein: The New Order continues to sweep the nation, Get In Media contacted COPILOT to get the inside details on our approach for spinning around dark bluesy rock into innocent upbeat propaganda! Honestly, we scared even ourselves with this weird science experiment, so head over here and check it out for yourself.
COPILOT created an ominous rendition of “The Drunken Sailor” sea shanty for the Dishonored gameplay trailer, which was unveiled prior to the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June.
Since the Dishonored trailer launched, it has received more than 850,000 views on YouTube and won Machinima’s “Best Trailer” award. Due to the popularity of the trailer’s music, COPILOT and publisher Bethesda Softworks recently announced a remix contest and have released the full-length version of the song for free on the Bethesda blog.

Interactive marketing has opened the doors wide open for companies to communicate with stakeholders. Case in point: Fidelity’s new series called “Thinking Big.”
Each film in the evolving series will be a mini-documentary showcasing the specialized research available to Fidelity’s investing clients. The first film “The World’s Water,” about the impact of rising global water usage, uses quick but clear imagery inspired by modern documentary film to efficiently summarize a very complicated subject. Setting the stage and providing the subtle emotional thread is a unique modern classical original score by COPILOT.

We wanted to share some nice news we received last week. Our surreal sound design piece piece for Vena Cava’s Fashion Week promo “Viva Vena!” has made it to the AICP Show Shortlist. We’d like to thank and recognize Gretel and LT&Co for providing a unique piece of film to bring sound to, and for their strong creative collaboration. We’d also like to thank the industry leaders and professionals who voted for our work. We’ll see you at the show on June 7th.

BBDO’s current campaign for AT&T puts the focus on the ease and connectivity of the company’s global network. For the campaign’s debut (which aired during this year’s Super Bowl pre-game show) COPILOT was brought in to create a musical score that felt at home in the various global settings while avoiding World Music stereotypes. COPILOT partner Ravi Krishnaswami found the right balance with an ensemble of hand-played string and percussion instruments (kora, bazouki, marimba, etc.) that carry you through the story without sounding too big and “important”.

Collaboration and problem-solving were key themes at the AICP’s brand new conference. Fortunately, they’ve been our mantras from day one at COPILOT. Teaming up with our friends at AICP and the incredibly talented visual folks at Thornberg & Forester, COPILOT provided the impactful show open score as well as a buzzer sound that was successful in scaring a panel full of lawyers into speaking within their time limits. Sweet!
