Bethesda Game Studios + COPILOT Score #1 iTunes Single

On 23, Aug 2018 | In News |

Imagine waking up on July 4th to the news that your arrangement of John Denver’s “Country Roads” has edged out Justin Timberlake and Cardi B for the #1 download on iTunes.

Bethesda and COPILOT recently spoke to Variety about the song’s success, which has included some time in the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot 50 Country charts.

We really enjoyed bringing to life the vision of Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard and Mark Lampert, merging John Denver’s classic “Take Me Home, Country Roads” with the vocal approach of The Inkspots. Finding Spank Live on the streets of NYC and putting together an all-star band (including Hamilton Broadway’s bassist!) were probably the funnest parts of the musical journey.

The song was used in the stunning official trailer for Fallout 76, which is set in West Virginia, and released on July 4th with all of Bethesda’s proceeds benefiting Habitat For Humanity. Grab a download, support a good cause and let us know what you think!
