COPILOT recently attended the Game Marketing Summit and Awards in San Francisco, where the Wolfenstein trailer was nominated in several categories. We were honored to be part of the event and excited to learn that Wolfenstein earned the bronze medal for Outstanding Promotional Trailer. Woot!
We were once again honored to be honored, earning a Bronze at this year’s Key Art Awards in Los Angeles for our music in Bethesda Softwork’s Dishonored Gameplay Trailer. Huzzah! The Drunken Whaler has become a legend in Hollywood.
The buzz for Bethesda’s “Wolfenstein: The New Order” keeps building and we were thrilled to learn that our work on the trailer was listed as #6 on SHOOT Magazine “Top 10 Summer 2013 Tracks Chart” in their Music & Sound issue.
We’ve had a long and productive relationship with the Association of Independent Commercial Producers, so it was a special moment for us to be honored at this year’s show for our work on Dishonored. And what a year to win. Fellow honorees were Beck, who rearranged Bowie for Lincoln, and Jimmy Cliff’s work for VW with Tru Sound NY. Not bad company to keep, eh?
Have an iPad? Kids? Check out Word Wildlife Fund’s free new app. It’s a stunning new interactive piece that we were proud to score. From the stellar user reviews, to the recent “best in show” accollades from the DC Ad Club, we’ve been excited to see the overwhelmingly positive response to an educational piece for an organization we love.
COPILOT created an ominous rendition of “The Drunken Sailor” sea shanty for the Dishonored gameplay trailer, which was unveiled prior to the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June.
Since the Dishonored trailer launched, it has received more than 850,000 views on YouTube and won Machinima’s “Best Trailer” award. Due to the popularity of the trailer’s music, COPILOT and publisher Bethesda Softworks recently announced a remix contest and have released the full-length version of the song for free on the Bethesda blog.

We wanted to share some nice news we received last week. Our surreal sound design piece piece for Vena Cava’s Fashion Week promo “Viva Vena!” has made it to the AICP Show Shortlist. We’d like to thank and recognize Gretel and LT&Co for providing a unique piece of film to bring sound to, and for their strong creative collaboration. We’d also like to thank the industry leaders and professionals who voted for our work. We’ll see you at the show on June 7th.
