COPILOT hit the road this month to attend the launch of Verizon’s Largest Destination Store on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. For the store’s “Amplify It” music zone, we created more than 125 original music loops for an interactive DJ experience. Users can mix-and-match loops to build their own tracks and broadcast them to the world through a beautiful interface designed by AQKA. The launch was attended by Academy and Grammy Award-winning artist Jennifer Hudson, who showed off the Amplify It experience for huge crowds of onlookers.

Rock Icon and “Godfather of Punk” Iggy Pop’s weekly broadcast on BBC Radio recently featured his favorite music from Germany. The 2-hour special “Here Come The Germans” covered everything from Wagner to Rammstein, including “Berlin Boys & Stuttgart Girls” by Viktor & Die Vokalisten.
Here’s the insane part… Viktor & Die Vokalisten was created by COPILOT for the video game “Wolfenstein: The New Order”!

We’d love these spots even if we hadn’t scored them. Featuring three uniquely talented people moving about Fairfield Inn & Suites properties, these ads are fun and entertaining on their own, as the best advertising should be. We’d also like to point out how music captures the spirit and energy of our featured performers. Links to all three below the jump. Enjoy!
It’s quite an honor to announce that our powerful scoring work for the Wolfenstein: The New Order announcement trailer has been awarded the top prize (GOLD) for music in a game trailer by the Hollywood Reporter Key Art Awards. We’re gonna go for a joyride with Hans in his VW and cruise around Berlin with our statue.
Coming on the heels of news that Iggy Pop just selected one of our Neumond Recordings song for a curated radio show about German music, the award caps off a thoroughly rewarding role in making the entire Wolfenstein experience a unique and musically immersive experience that has garnered more fans, press and awards than we could have imagined.
ICYMI, here’s the trailer, below the jump.
Every country has its own Samba, its own joy, its own way of dancing with a football. And since every unique dance needs a unique song, Visa asked COPILOT to find musicians from each of the 32 qualified countries to reimagine the Brazilian favorite “Maria Caipirinha” (Samba da Bahia). Then they asked 32 filmmakers to share how their nation celebrates the FIFA World Cup.
The result is The Samba of the World, a spirited musical journey around the globe. Get to know each country’s wonderfully unique way of celebrating – including regional dance moves, food fans enjoy on match days, the type of gear they wear, and even their country’s football rituals and history.

Following back-to-back blockbuster game trailers for Dishonored and Wolfenstein, we are at it again, this time for the new free-to-play multiplayer game from Battlecry Studios and Bethesday Softworks. We had fun with this one… enjoy.
We had a feeling this project might turn a few heads. Following up on the buzz surrounding COPILOT’S integral part in creating the music for the alternate 1960s universe of Wolfenstein: The New Order, DualShockers tracked Jason down to get a behind-the-scenes look at how we thought up the artists and songs that appear in the game and trailers.
Click through to watch Ravi, Jason and Ed Davis of AKQA discuss these topics in an interview with DualShocker TV’s host Tony Polanco.
Two years in a row!
Continuing our success in this category, we’re thrilled to announce that the Association of Music Producers (AMP) have once again awarded us for “Best Use of Music in a Film or Game Trailer,” this year for our intense score for Wolfenstein: The New Order. Of course with the whole business of Neumond Recordings, we almost forgot about the trailer! Click through for an encore presentation: Read more…
